Salvation prayer

Do you want to receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour and enter a living relationship with Him? We encourage you to pray this prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank you for loving me and dying on the cross to pay the price for my sin. I believe You are the Son of God, my Saviour. I receive the forgiveness Your blood bought for me. Thank you that I don’t have to live my life without You anymore. You live in my heart through the Holy Spirit. Because of Your finished work on the cross I have an abundant and eternal life from today and into heaven. Thank you, Father, that I am now Your beloved child. Amen.

You are now God’s child! Read these Scriptures to be sure that you are saved: John 1:12 – those who believe in Him, are His children, 1 John 5:12-13 – you can know that you have eternal life, John 10:27-28 – no one can snatch you out of His hand.

Are there things you want to know? Do you have questions about what we believe or what we stand for?

We have tried to answer as many questions as we can in order to satisfy your curiosity. But if there is a question or information you feel we don’t cover here and would like us to answer for you, please feel free to give us a shout and we will do our best.

What are your service times?

Our 09:00 am morning service is relaxed, family-friendly and perfect for anyone who wants to connect with Christ in an intimate way. The perfect way to start your week. Children’s Ministry is open 15 minutes before each morning service.

We meet every Sunday at Ruimsig Walk Retail Centre (Old Farm City), Hole-in-One Avenue, Cnr Hendrik Potgieter & Viljoen Street, Ruimsig.

For those who cannot attend in person on a Sunday join us via live-stream on Facebook or Youtube!

What can I expect at a church service?

We are all about encountering Jesus! Expect friendly smiles, helping hands, people from every stage and walk of life, energetic praise, and an inspiring message from the Word of God relevant to your daily life.

How do you cater for children at your services?

It is important to us that children feel part of the bigger picture of church. The Thrive Kids team of teachers and helpers treasure and love your children. We aim to instill the Lord’s truths in them as He leads us. We want to grow and equip our kids for the future so that they can become mighty men and women of God – while having fun! Children are important to Jesus and He loves them. We see this in the Word where it says “Jesus took them up in His arms, laid His hands on them, and blessed them” (Mark 10:16, NKJV). This is the heart of God. Rest assured that we will also treat your children with utmost importance and care.

Where can I go with my baby?

We have a dedicated area for parents with babies and toddlers under 3 years old. Audio and video is provided. A changing station, some chairs and toys are set out. Here youngsters can have some room under the watchful eyes of their parents while adults can still follow the sermon.

What do I do if I want to be baptised in water?

We practice the baptism of believers and not of infants. If you’ve received Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour and have not yet been baptized by immersion in water, we warmly encourage you to contact us for more information. Pamphlets and sign-up forms are available at the information desk on Sundays, or enquire via email. We’d love to include you at the next available baptism opportunity.

What if I want to dedicate my child to the Lord?

Since we don’t baptise infants in water, we choose to dedicate children to the Lord during a church service. Contact us to make the necessary arrangements at the next available date on the events calendar.

What if I want to get married?

We commend couples serious about sharing their lives who want to get married as instituted by the Lord. Our pastor offers his marriage officer duties only to members, depending on his availability, at a venue arranged by the couple. A pre-marital course of approximately 9 sessions is compulsory. This should be arranged as soon as you’ve set a date for the wedding.

Do we believe in tithing?

Most definitely. We believe that returning ten percent of your income to the Lord activates the blessing of God over your finances. It also ensures the continued operation of the local church where you are spiritually fed and makes you a partner in kingdom work. Learn more every week during the short teaching before tithes and offerings are received at our services.

What are your banking details?

For security reasons we encourage the electronic transfer of tithes and offerings. We also have a separate account to save towards having our own property. Please make use of the details below. You can also donate with your debit card at the giving station available on Sundays.
