Salvation prayer

Do you want to receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour and enter a living relationship with Him? We encourage you to pray this prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank you for loving me and dying on the cross to pay the price for my sin. I believe You are the Son of God, my Saviour. I receive the forgiveness Your blood bought for me. Thank you that I don’t have to live my life without You anymore. You live in my heart through the Holy Spirit. Because of Your finished work on the cross I have an abundant and eternal life from today and into heaven. Thank you, Father, that I am now Your beloved child. Amen.

You are now God’s child! Read these Scriptures to be sure that you are saved: John 1:12 – those who believe in Him, are His children, 1 John 5:12-13 – you can know that you have eternal life, John 10:27-28 – no one can snatch you out of His hand.

Abolition – Self-control

Galatians 5:22-23, NIV

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

We are subjected to intense marketing all day, every day. The goal of marketing is not to convince you to buy the stuff without which you cannot survive. You will be doing that out of necessity anyways. The goal of marketing is to convince you that you cannot survive without the things you do not really need. If it was not for marketing, you would never go looking for those things and you would be just as happy. There are three rules you should never break. All three are equally important. Don’t ignore a single one! Here they are:

  1. Don’t spend more than you earn!
  2. Don’t spend more than you earn!!
  3. Don’t spend more than you earn!!!

May the Holy Spirit infuse you with renewed self-control. I dare you to test this by going to the mall to buy two things you really need and returning home with only those two things…
