Salvation prayer

Do you want to receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour and enter a living relationship with Him? We encourage you to pray this prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank you for loving me and dying on the cross to pay the price for my sin. I believe You are the Son of God, my Saviour. I receive the forgiveness Your blood bought for me. Thank you that I don’t have to live my life without You anymore. You live in my heart through the Holy Spirit. Because of Your finished work on the cross I have an abundant and eternal life from today and into heaven. Thank you, Father, that I am now Your beloved child. Amen.

You are now God’s child! Read these Scriptures to be sure that you are saved: John 1:12 – those who believe in Him, are His children, 1 John 5:12-13 – you can know that you have eternal life, John 10:27-28 – no one can snatch you out of His hand.

The world of the generous

Proverbs 11:24–25 (The Message)
24  The world of the generous gets larger and larger;
the world of the stingy gets smaller and smaller.
25  The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed;
those who help others are helped.

When the Bible talks about generosity it is interesting to note that the motivation is almost always NOT on the person RECEIVING the blessing, but on the person GIVING the blessing. In other words, you ought to be generous for what it does for YOU!

All through Scripture God encourages us to live our lives in such a way that it impacts the lives of others. God wants us to live large lives!
Let me ask you today: What will a large life look like to you? I believe in this context it means not just living for yourself and your own needs. You may think: “If I can just make enough for me and my family to get by …” My friend, that is not what God has in mind for His children. That is usually the mentality that says: “I will help others once I have sorted out my life. Once my affairs are in order THEN I will look at being generous …” But let’s just be honest: that never happens! Why? Because the world of the stingy gets smaller and smaller! God never called His children just to have enough to pay the bills and eek out an existence. That is not a large life.
Look at what the Psalmist wrote:
“His (the righteous person who gives God’s Word precedence) descendants will be mighty on earth; the generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches will be in his house, and his righteousness endures forever … A good man deals graciously and lends …”(Psalm 112:2-5NKJV, explanation added)
Isn’t that just such a massive contrast to living a stingy life? A good man/woman deals graciously! Let me encourage you today that God has called you to live a large life. Here is the way to get out of this “just barely getting by” cycle of defeat: enter the world of the generous! Enter God’s promises for you.
This is my prayer for you as you read this today: May your children be mighty upon the earth! May wealth and riches be in your house. May Jesus’ righteousness be tangible in every area of your life! May you be in a position to deal graciously and lend to others.
I promise you that as you are being generous to others your focus will move from yourself to others. Your problems and challenges will seem smaller and smaller. There are few things as fulfilling as being a blessing to someone else. Someone once said: “There is always someone else waiting on the other side of your obedience.”
