Salvation prayer

Do you want to receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour and enter a living relationship with Him? We encourage you to pray this prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank you for loving me and dying on the cross to pay the price for my sin. I believe You are the Son of God, my Saviour. I receive the forgiveness Your blood bought for me. Thank you that I don’t have to live my life without You anymore. You live in my heart through the Holy Spirit. Because of Your finished work on the cross I have an abundant and eternal life from today and into heaven. Thank you, Father, that I am now Your beloved child. Amen.

You are now God’s child! Read these Scriptures to be sure that you are saved: John 1:12 – those who believe in Him, are His children, 1 John 5:12-13 – you can know that you have eternal life, John 10:27-28 – no one can snatch you out of His hand.

God Made Marriage

Marriage is often portrayed in a bad light. We are surrounded by messages that imply joy and happiness leave the room once you get married. As if the person you married changes into an ogre overnight and you’re shackled to misery for the rest of your life.

Yet one of the first things God did after He had made humans was to put them into a mutually fulfilling, committed relationship out of which they could raise a family and share companionship – and it is called marriage.

Genesis 2:18, 21-22, 24 (NIV)
18 The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” 21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man … 24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.

God made marriage so this means He is also interested in your marriage. He doesn’t just want to be cursorily involved in your marriage. He didn’t merely witness the wedding ceremony and then went off to attend to more serious matters. No, He wants to be the centre of your marriage. He cares that you are in a joyful marriage. Note that I didn’t say ‘perfect’ marriage. There is no such thing. But it can be joyful and fulfilling if we do it God’s way.

All the brokenness in marriages and the high divorce rate is testimony to the fact that we can’t do it alone. We need the designer’s blueprint for it. Relationships will not work if Jesus is not at the centre. He is the only third party you DO want in your marriage.

I encourage you to follow our current message series “Love is in the air”. May this help you to grasp God’s blueprint for this key relationship in society.
