Salvation prayer

Do you want to receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour and enter a living relationship with Him? We encourage you to pray this prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank you for loving me and dying on the cross to pay the price for my sin. I believe You are the Son of God, my Saviour. I receive the forgiveness Your blood bought for me. Thank you that I don’t have to live my life without You anymore. You live in my heart through the Holy Spirit. Because of Your finished work on the cross I have an abundant and eternal life from today and into heaven. Thank you, Father, that I am now Your beloved child. Amen.

You are now God’s child! Read these Scriptures to be sure that you are saved: John 1:12 – those who believe in Him, are His children, 1 John 5:12-13 – you can know that you have eternal life, John 10:27-28 – no one can snatch you out of His hand.

our story

Our history is as important as our future. Where we come from has shaped where we are going.
Rhema West began in 2008 as Cedarhill Christian Church with services being held in a fully functional marionette theatre located in a historic home in Westcliff, Johannesburg.

We soon moved to a school hall in the Melville and Westdene area and finally made the transition to the West Rand in 2010. The place where we felt God has positioned us to bring the message of hope and to establish Jesus Christ in every heart and every home. We are proud to be an autonomous church within the Rhema Family of Churches (RFC) and are not a satellite campus or extension service.

God orchestrates the purchase of our own property, a place we can finally call home.

Rhema West Christian Church officially begins services in their own property at 261 Voortrekker Road, Monument.

We celebrate our 11th birthday as a church family, thanking God for all that He has done and is going to do for us and the West Rand.

261 Voortrekker Road was our home for 19 months and in that time we grew as a church and saw a tangible difference in the community around us. In November 2019 God opened the doors for us to purchase the old Farm City building/retail centre on Hendrick Potgieter Road in Ruimsig, Roodepoort.

Not only is it a prime location but it was like the building had been destined to function as a church. God’s mighty hand was evident in every step of the negotiations, planning and renovations and Rhema West officially moved in February 2020.

We were grateful for our time spent in Monument (Krugersdorp) and are excited for the new things God has in store for us in the West Rand.

2020, the year of divine fulfillment! God moved us.
Sunday, 16 February 2020 saw Rhema West celebrate our dedication service in our new home. We moved from Voortrekker Road in Monument to new, bigger (air-conditioned) premises in Ruimsig. The old Farm City building, now called the RW Centre, was transformed and lovingly renovated to accommodate us and we are honoured to share our new home with you.

our beliefs

Strength in leadership.

Visionary leadership of the Rhema West Christian Church rests on the shoulders of our elders. We also have a group of leaders serving as an advisory board to assist the elders with decision making. Within the advisory board there is a finance committee to assist with financial decision making.

Rooted in Christ.

Always believing that we are rooted to live when we are rooted in Christ, we want to bring Jesus to people and people to Him. We believe that a thriving church brings the solution for all life’s challenges to the world. This solution is the grace of God extended to humanity through the finished work of Jesus Christ.

our mission

To Know.

Jesus Christ and His finished work.

Life as a born-again believer starts with knowing in heart and mind all that Christ accomplished for you through His death, burial and resurrection. Knowing Him circles out into knowing each other in a loving community of believers.

To Grow.

into a grace-empowered life.

As we continue life with the Lord we grow spiritually in all the truth He’s given us. Receiving His love and goodness impacts all areas of our lives, helping us to live in victory.

To Go.

and, through the Gospel of Christ, reconcile all people to our Heavenly Father.

Knowing Jesus and growing in Him we cannot help but share the good news of His love with all the world! We aim to do this by going out and sharing with people both the Gospel message and physical aid.
